Ugh

This  remarkable photo was in my email in-box today.  I think it is the most disgusting rendering of  "Jesus Christ" (I can't even seriously say that who it's supposed to be) I have ever seen.  It's sort of a Jesus-Cross-Dresses-As-Danielle-Boone portrait.  Protestants seriously need to explore real iconography and stop clogging our Christian pop culture with this nonsense.  Lord have mercy!

It's pretty bad, for sure.

Do you think it's worse than the one I posted on my blog last year?

Well, yeah, it just might be. It's a close call!

Maybe it'll come out in full this time, unlike last time, which is missing the last 4 digits: 7970

I think the problem is you need to log out of blogger and post the link from your blog address (i.e. anastasias-corner.blogspot.com.postname) I remember that post and I was thinking of it as i posted this pic today - would love to see it again! I also came close to linking my post from last year about the book by Abp Lazar about icons but then I remembered all the ballyhoo that post caused and just decided to be snarky without stirring that pot again...lol

Have you come across a blogger called the Crescat? She has some doozies and the amazingly horrible thing is they are always recognisable as supposed to be Christ. Why don't they just look like some guy with long hair and a beard? Worries me ;)
